Description
Hill House, also known as Hill Side, is a detached villa built around 1810. The building features a stucco front and weatherboarding at the back, topped with a low-pitched hipped slate roof that has wide eaves. It stands two storeys high with a basement and is three windows wide. On the left and right sides, there are two segmental bowed windows, each with three sashes and glazing bars, extending over two storeys and the basement. The centre of the first floor has a round-headed sash window with glazing bars and a keyblock. The entrance boasts a good central doorway with a porch that has an open pediment supported by two slender turned pillars. The door is a six-fielded-panel design with a semi-circular fanlight above it, and there are stone steps leading up to the entrance, which are bordered by iron railings. The building is also adorned with brick chimneys.
