Description

This barn, located approximately 30 metres north of Blagrove Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century. It features a timber frame, is weatherboarded, and has a thatched roof that is gabled and half hipped at the east end. The structure consists of three framed bays and has a brick plinth. On the south side, there are large waggon doors, along with later inserted stable doors. The barn also includes small fixed lights with glazing bars. Inside, it has a queen post roof with clasped through purlins, a ridge pole, and straight braces. The timbers are thin, and the posts are straight with no jowls.
