Description

This barn, located approximately 70 metres north of Grange Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, topped with a grey slate roof. The barn features a central gabled midstrey with arched braces supporting the tie beams. It consists of seven bays and has a side purlin ridgeboard roof. The structure includes pegged straight braces to the tie beams, through bracing to the walls, staggered side girts, and halved and bladed top plate scarfs. This barn is part of the farm complex.
