Description
Steeple Stores is a building that dates back to the 18th century and consists of a store and a cottage, which was vacant at the time of the re-survey. The structure is timber framed and weatherboarded, with a rough rendered return and an outshot at the rear. It features a red plain tiled gambrel roof and has a red brick chimney stack. The building is one storey high with attics and includes three gabled dormers that have small paned vertically sliding sashes. There are two central windows, and to the left, there is a 19th-century angled shop bay. Adjacent to this is a vertically boarded door with a canopy supported by brackets, which is next to a similar door that has a pediment on brackets. At the time of the re-survey, all doors and windows were boarded up.
