Description
Bridge House is a large house that has been converted into a private nursing home. It was originally built in the early 19th century, extended in the late 19th century, and altered in the 20th century. The exterior is finished in stucco with string courses at each floor level and features a slate hipped roof. The building has an irregular plan with a service wing on the east side.
The west front of the house has three storeys and four large chimneys that are spaced irregularly. There are two full-height segmental bows, each containing three bays of sash windows with glazing bars, all framed by moulded architrave surrounds. The ground floor is adorned with a continuous wood lattice verandah that has a curved lead roof.
