Description

This is a house, now offices, dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The front is timber-framed and rendered, while the rear is brick-faced. The roof is half-hipped and covered in old tiles. The building has an irregular plan and stands two storeys high with attics. The first floor overhangs the ground floor. There are three gabled dormers, featuring relief-decorated pargeting (decorative plasterwork) in the triangular spaces above the windows, and two-light casement windows. On the first floor are three 19th-century sash windows, set within moulded architrave surrounds and stone sills. A late 19th-century shop front and door are located on the left side of the ground floor, with a 20th-century shop front near the centre. On the right side is a 19th-century four-panelled door and fanlight, with a modern fixed window to the left.
