Description
The barn at Frogmill Farm, located about 45 metres west of Frogmill Farmhouse, is an early 19th-century structure that is now disused. It features a chequered pattern of chalk and flint, with some stone and red brick dressings. The roof is half-hipped and covered with old tiles. The barn has a rectangular plan consisting of seven bays, with aisles on the north side and a three-bay midstrey on the south, along with an opposed wagon exit on the north. Ventilation slots are present on all walls, and there are circular ventilation openings high in the gable ends. The gable ends also have a projecting stone verge course.
Inside, the barn has arch-braced collared roof trusses and heavy principal rafters. There are two sets of purlins, with the lower purlins being trenched and the upper purlins clasped.
