Description
This is a bank barn located 10 meters to the east of East Frogwell Farmhouse, dating from the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed of rubblestone with cut stone arches, granite quoins, and features a corrugated sheet roof with hipped ends. The barn has two storeys and an asymmetrical south front. The ground floor includes four cut stone round arches leading to the shippons, each with plank doors, although the third arch is partly blocked. Above, there is a double timber door to the threshing floor, which has a slate hipped hood above it, along with a rectangular opening to the left and a small slit to the right.
To the left gable end, there is a two-storey extension built in rubblestone, dating from the mid to late 19th century, with a corrugated roof that has a hipped end on the left and a gable on the right. This extension features brick segmented arches over three ground floor openings, with a central plank low door and ventilation louvers in the flanking openings. There is also an opening above with a brick segmental arch. The interior has not been inspected. This barn is similar in design to another barn located to the west, which is 12 meters to the south of Frogwell Farmhouse.
