Guide post. 1764. Granite rectangular post with tapered section and rounded head. Inscribed in upper case serif lettering 'WHEEL ROAD TO CALLN' Rusticated panel below. Resited in or near original position on side of old turnpike road which passed through hamlet of Newbridge. Turnpike act for roads leading into Callington, 1764. (4 Geo III c48).
