Description

This is an early 18th-century house located in St Mellion. It is constructed of rubble stone and cob, with a rendered finish. The roof is thatched with gable ends, and it features rubble stone stacks, rendered and with moulded strings to the shafts, situated on the gable ends; the left-hand stack projects. The house originally comprised two rooms with a central cross passage. The facade is asymmetrical, featuring a three-window arrangement. The ground floor has a 20th-century window with glazing bars on the left and a two-light casement with glazing bars to the right. A 20th-century glazed door is centrally positioned. The upper floor has two 20th-century windows with glazing bars flanking a single casement, all with glazing bars. A single-storey rendered extension with a thatched roof and a 20th-century glazed door is attached to the left-hand gable end. The rear elevation incorporates three thatched dormers. The interior has not been inspected. The current owner possesses deeds dating back to 1709.
