Description

This late 18th-century guidepost stands near Wenfordbridge. It is a granite monolith of rectangular section with a rounded head. The front and left sides are inscribed with serifed lettering, reading 'Cam Rod' and 'Bodmin Rode'. The guidepost relates to the Turnpike Road Act of 1769, which governed roads leading to Bodmin.
