Description
The Mill is a disused mill house from the early 19th century. It is constructed of flint and chalk, featuring ashlar quoins, projecting stone eaves, and gable verge courses, topped with a part gabled and part hipped old tile roof. The building is two storeys high.
The south front has four bays. On the first floor, there are four two-light casement windows, one of which has a single-leaf plank shutter with strap hinges and projecting brick cills. The ground floor features four semicircular brick-arched openings, one of which is blocked, with a ledged and planked entrance door in the centre.
On the west gable end, there is a loading door on the first floor, complete with the original wrought-iron scroll-sack pulley on brackets. To the left of centre on the ground floor, there is a later segmental arched window opening, which is now boarded.
Inside, the mill features large arch-braced collar trusses and retains the original sack hand-winch at the west end of the first floor.
