Description
The barn at Lot Farm, located about 22 metres east of the farmhouse, is a late 18th-century structure that was extended in the 19th century. It is constructed of brick with some weatherboarding and features an old tiled gabled roof. The barn has a rectangular plan and consists of two sections, each with three bays and aisles on the south side. On the south elevation, there are two gabled midstreys with pent roofs above two pairs of large plank doors located in the central bay. The north side also has two pairs of similar doors, along with narrow ventilation slots on the right and diamond-pattern ventilation openings on the left. Inside, the original 18th-century section has queen post roof trusses, while the 19th-century section features king post trusses. The barn is situated as the northern boundary of an enclosed farmyard.
