Description
Dumbledore is a hall house, now functioning as a residential house, dating from the early 16th century, with alterations and extensions made in the mid-20th century. The building features a combination of timber framing with brick infill and sections that are entirely brick. It has an old tile roof that is gabled and half-hipped. The structure has a rectangular plan, with a gabled extension at right angles on the west end, and it stands two storeys tall.
A ridge chimney is positioned to the right of the centre, featuring an offset head and clay pots. The entrance front, facing south, is irregular in design. On the left, there is a gabled projection with a four-light casement window on the first floor and a flat-roofed glazed square bay window on the ground floor. The entrance consists of a 20th-century plank door located in the internal angle. The right-hand section of the house has six windows on the first floor, which are a mix of two-light and three-light designs, and four similar windows on the ground floor.
