Description

This garden seat, located approximately 40 metres to the east of the Old Rectory, dates from around 1862 and incorporates elements from a 17th-century church monument. It is constructed from ashlar and red brick, featuring a U-plan design built into the garden wall. The seat has lozenge panels below it and three cartouches behind, which are framed by reused moulded surrounds. Ionic pilasters are present in the reveals, and there is a carved stone key in the lintel, supported by a later central timber support.
