Description
Bowling Alley Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century. It features a rendered timber frame and was originally topped with a thatched tile roof, which has a catslide over the outshut to the north. The cottage has three framed bays and is 1½ storeys high.
On the south front, there are three eyebrow eaves dormers: two on the right with 2-light casements and one on the left with a 3-light casement. The cottage has end stacks and four ground floor 2-light casements, along with a central boarded door. There is a 20th-century brick and timber porch with a hipped roof and a boarded door. To the left of the cottage is a timber-framed and weatherboarded outbuilding, which has an old tile hipped roof.
