Description
The Poplars is a cottage located on Church Lane in Ufton Nervet. It dates from the late 17th century and 18th century, with 20th-century additions to the south-west. The building is timber framed, partially refaced and rebuilt in white painted brick, and features a half hipped thatched roof with a catslide over an outshut to the north-west. It has two framed bays and is 1½ storeys high.
The south-east front includes two eyebrow eaves dormers with 2-light casements and a stack located off-centre to the right at the rear. To the left, there are two 3-light casements with segmental relieving arches, and to the right, there is a boarded door also with a segmental relieving arch. There is a one-storey 20th-century addition set back to the left, constructed of white painted brick with a corrugated iron roof.
