Description

Skye Cottage is a cottage dating from the mid-17th century, with some 20th-century alterations. It is timber-framed with brick infill that has been colourwashed, topped by a thatched roof with end stacks. The original layout consists of two bays, with a lower single bay at the south end. A wing was added at the rear in the late 20th century. The cottage is one storey with an attic and features one eyebrow dormer. The front has two 20th-century casement windows and a doorway at the south end. The timber framing is exposed, revealing three panels in height on each wall, and there are raking struts to the collars in the gable ends.
