Description

Moathouse Cottage is a timber-framed cottage dating to around 1600, with a 20th-century addition on its left side. The exterior features partial white painted brick refacing and an old tile roof, which is higher over the left-hand bay and half-hipped to the right. The cottage has two framed bays, with 1½ storeys on the right and two storeys on the left. A gabled dormer window sits on the right side, featuring a two-light leaded casement. A ridge stack is positioned above the door, which is off-centre to the right, and there's an end stack in front of the ridge on the right. On the first floor is a two-light leaded casement on the left side. The ground floor incorporates a canted bay window to the left, with leaded casements and a hipped roof, and a two-light leaded casement to the right, flanking a 20th-century gabled porch, also off-centre to the right. The porch has a half-glazed boarded door. A one-storey, 20th-century addition is set back on the left.
