Description

Whiteways Cottage is a building that originally consisted of two cottages but has been converted into one house. It dates from the early 19th century and has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. The structure features a timber frame with painted plaster infill and brick stacks, topped by a tiled roof. It has a rectangular plan with three bays of frame and stands one and a half storeys high, showcasing three gabled dormers on either side of the stacks.

On the south elevation, there is a tiled pentice that spans the entire width of the building, with canted bays located at each end. In the center, there is a 20th-century door set within an enclosed porch, flanked by former doors that have since been closed off.
