Description
Fir Tree Cottages are a pair of cottages dating from the 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. They are constructed of painted brick and feature a tiled roof. The cottages are arranged in a U shape, with a 20th-century extension added to the north of the west wing.
The building is two storeys high and has central and flanking ridge chimneys on the south block, with an off-centre ridge chimney on the north side of the west wing.
On the south elevation, there are four casement windows: two two-light windows on the first floor and three-light windows on the ground floor. The entrance is a central hoarded door located between the first and second windows from the right.
The west elevation features two windows: a two-light window on the first floor and a three-light window on the ground floor, along with a flanking boarded door that has a gabled hood. There are also two small irregular windows on the far left.
