Description

The Poplars is an 18th-century house located on the south side of Main Street in West Ilsley. It features a rectangular plan with a short wing at right angles and an outshut in the angle between these sections. The building is constructed of painted brick and render, with a roof that is part timber and part slated. It stands two storeys high and has flanking chimneys, as well as a chimney at the end of the wing.

On the south-east elevation, there are five glazing bar sash windows, a central six-panel door with glazed upper panels, and a rectangular fanlight, all situated beneath a 20th-century porch.
