Description

This is an early to mid-19th century terrace of red brick houses, numbers 24 to 34 Russell Street. The terrace is three stories high with a basement. A stucco string course runs beneath the first-floor windows. It has wide eaves and a slate roof. The houses are arranged in pairs, and each pair is stepped down from number 32. The windows are glazing bar sash windows. Steps lead to a six-panel door, which has a contemporary patterned fanlight within an arched recess. The left-hand bay of number 34 features a two-story modern extension. Modern casement windows have been added to the second-floor windows of numbers 24 and 28. The group value of this terrace lies in its contribution to the character of Russell Street.
