Description

York Lodge is an early 19th-century detached house, one of three originally built, with the other two, Lancaster and Tudor lodges, now demolished. The building is constructed of red brick and features hipped slate roofs. It has two storeys and two ranges of glazing bar sash windows on the north side, with one window above and one to the left. The left window includes a glazed door topped with a bracketed cornice. There is a small 20th-century bay window on the right side of the east front. The east front also has a semi-circular Ionic porch. Currently, York Lodge is part of the Reading National Spiritualist Church.
