Description
44 and 46 Russell Street are a pair of early to mid-19th century houses that stand three storeys tall with a basement. They are constructed of brick and feature a stucco string course at the first-floor level. The houses have flat eaves and a slate roof. A grey brick panel divides the two houses, and there are two courses of grey brick above the basement. Each house has glazing bar sash windows, with No 44 having two windows and a door, while No 46 has three windows and a door. The doors are adorned with segmental arched fanlights that are radiating and wreathed, and they are set in a recess with engaged fluted Greek Doric columns and a key pattern head.
