Description
This is an early to mid-19th century terrace comprised of numbers 27 to 33, Cleveland Terrace. Each house is two storeys high with a basement and has two windows. The buildings are constructed of pinkish brick, with a fairly low-pitched slate roof and ridge stacks. A moulded wooden eaves cornice runs along the top of the terrace. Recessed sash windows with glazing bars are topped by stone lintels and sills. There are five stone steps, with wrought or cast iron handrails, leading up to four-panel doors. Each door is set within a wood pilaster-and-entablature doorcase featuring a deep cornice and patterned oblong fanlight. This terrace possesses group value from its cohesive architectural style and uniform appearance.
