Description

122 and 124 Coniscliffe Road are a pair of early to mid-19th century buildings, originally designed as part of a terrace. Each building is two storeys high and has a basement, with two windows facing the street. They were constructed of pink brick, with a low-pitched slated roof and central and end chimneys. A stone band runs along the first floor sill level, and stone sills and lintels are present on the recessed sash windows. The ground floor windows are tripartite (three-part), with pilasters and an entablature. There are nine steps with wrought iron handrails leading to a four-panel door, each topped with a cornice and a patterned oblong fanlight. The doorcases feature pilasters and an entablature. Wrought iron guards are present on the basement windows.
