Dolphin Cottage (Number 31) and Number 33

Dolphin Cottage (Number 31) and Number 33 are two houses dating from the late 18th century. Number 31 is stuccoed, while Number 33 is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond. Number 31 features a roof made of interlocking tiles with a hipped right side and a rendered stack on the left. Number 33 has a plain tile roof. Both houses are three storeys tall and consist of two bays.

The entrance to Number 31 is on the right and includes a door with six flush panels, two of which are glazed. This door is flanked by pilasters with fluted capitals and has a frieze with a simple moulded pediment above, featuring a lion's head and scroll relief in the tympanum. There is a 20th-century lantern to the left of the door. Above the entrance, there are 12-pane sash windows on the first and second floors, set under a cambered arch on the second floor. To the left, there is a three-storey tripartite shallow canted bay window with 12-pane sashes, a frieze, and a shallow cornice on the ground and first floors, along with boarded aprons below the sills and a frieze and cornice on the bay roof.

Number 33 has a central six-panelled door, which is flanked by reeded pilasters with roundels on the caps and a shallow pediment above. On either side of the door and on the first and second floors, there are 16-pane sash windows set under flat rendered arches. Additionally, Number 33 features a brick dentil band above the second floor and two shallow hipped dormers. Both houses have a stone-coped parapet. The interior has not been inspected.
