Description

The Dolphin Hotel is an 18th and early 19th century hotel. It is stuccoed with a plain tile roof and rendered stacks to the left and right. The central doorway is flanked by Doric, fluted columns. To the left and right of the doorway are four 20th-century fixed windows with leaded lights and 19th-century moulded panels beneath. Pilasters flank the panelling, topped by a Doric entablature. 20th-century lanterns are attached to the fascia. The first and second floors have two two-storey tripartite canted oriel windows with sash windows and a modillion cornice that breaks forward over the oriels. A window is blinded on the first floor, and a sash window is present on the second floor. The building is finished with a coped parapet.
