Description

Peacock Cottage is a house dating from the 16th and 17th centuries, substantially altered in later periods. The exterior is stuccoed with a plain tile roof. It is two storeys and has an attic, comprising one bay. A late 19th-century half-glazed door is on the right side, featuring reeded pilasters and a head with a shallow moulded cap on shaped brackets. To the left of the door is a 16-pane sash window with a keystone, and a hipped dormer window is above. A small 9-pane fixed light is on the right return. No.5 Peacock Lane is combined with No.3 Penny Street, forming part of what was originally a single house. The interior has not been inspected.
