Canalside Cottage is an early 19th-century lock keeper's cottage that was restored in 1911. The building is two storeys tall and has a rough cast exterior with a low pitch hipped slate roof. It features three two-light wood casement windows and a gabled porch. This cottage is included for its group value alongside the Red Lion Public House, Lock View, Pine View, The Lock, and the Pump House, all of which are located by the canal.
