Description

The granite memorial cross is located on the verge on the east side of Newport Road, aligned with the west tower of the Church of St Mary, which is listed at Grade II*. It features a simple wheel-head cross with decorative roundels incised into the cross-head. The cross-shaft is set on a tapering pedestal and a single granite step. The front face of the pedestal has a dedicatory inscription that reads "FOR RIGHT AND LIBERTY/ 1914 + 1918" followed by four names.
