Description

ROCHESTER BOLEY HILL TQ 7468 SW 9/4 Boley Hill House (formerly listed as Nos 1 and 2, and Boley House) 2i.10.50 19.2.70 GV II House, now a nursing home (1988). early C19. Stuccoed brick; roof not visible. Double-depth plan with central staircase. 2- storeys. Symmetrical 5-window front; parapet; 12-pane sash windows throughout. Plat band between floors; central porch with Tuscan columns, pilasters and moulded entablature approached by steps with ashlar walls and low piers; half-glazed door with rectangular overlight containing leaded coloured glass. Lateral and rear stacks. Single-storey extension to right with C20 bay. Left hand return with horned sash windows retaining their blind housings. Interior: curved open-well staircase with stick balusters and weathered rail. The conservatory to the left is much altered. C20 workshop buildings to the rear.
