Description
The walls enclosing the Archdeaconry Gardens date from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. They are constructed of clunch, ragstone rubble, and have brick upper courses along St Margaret's Street, with brick and piers along Vines Lane. The walls feature triangular coping with brick dentillation on St Margaret's Street. Additionally, the city wall is attached to the northwest side of the gardens.
