Description

ROCHESTER HIGH STREET TQ 7468 SW AND TQ 7468 SE (EASTGATE) 9/83 AND 10/83 No 164 23.8.74 GV II Former house, now a shop. Mid to late C18, but with earlier work behind. Red brick, with Kent tile roof. 3 storeys; ridge stack to right. regular 3-window range. Hornless sashes to upper floors (6 and 12 panes) with exposed recessed frames under flat rubbed brick arches, and with pronounced stone sills. Cast-iron rainwater goods. Late C20 plate glass shop front. Renewed sashes to rear; single-storeyed rear extension. Nothering early survives internally at ground floor; upper floors not inspected.
