ROCHESTER HIGH STREET TQ 7468 SE (EASTGATE) 10/147 No 149 23.8.74 GV II House, now a bank. Mid C18. Flemish bond red brick; Kent tile roof. 3 storeys; regular 4-window range. Parapet (largely rebuilt) with stone coping and cornice band. 12-pane sash windows in reveals under rubbed brick flat arches to upper floors. Late C20 polished granite shop front continuous with No 147; a moulded dentil string course survives below 1st floor window sill level. Rear with 2 hipped roofs.
