Description

This is a house, now a bank, dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is located on Rochester High Street. The exterior is stuccoed over brick with a roof of Kent tiles. The building is three stories high and has a regular facade of three windows. The roof is finished with a coped parapet and a thick cornice band. The windows are sash windows; those on the second floor have six panes, while the first floor windows have four panes and horns, all set in recessed moulded frames and flat window arches. The central window opening on the second floor has been blocked. A late 20th-century polished granite shop front is continuous with number 149. The rear of the building is stuccoed and has two hipped roofs.
