Description

12 and 13 Quay Street is a pair of houses, likely built in the late 17th century or early 18th century. They are constructed of painted brick and stand two storeys tall with a high plinth. The houses feature a heavy plain wood cornice with modillions at the eaves. Each house has two windows, with the ground floor windows being joined together. The roof is covered with old tiles and includes two dormers.

Number 12 has a moulded brick band, while number 13 continues this line with plain wood. The entrance to number 12 features a six-panel door with a rectangular hood supported by heavy moulding on wooden brackets. In contrast, number 13 has a recessed door with panelled reveals and a small 18th-century doorcase topped with an open modillion pediment.
