Description

39 Quay Street is a late 18th-century building constructed from chequered purple and red brick. It features a well-crafted wooden eaves cornice and a slate roof. The facade includes two dormers and four windows that do not have glazing bars. A notable feature is the wooden doorcase, which has engaged columns and an open dentil pediment, along with a blind traceried fanlight above the door. There is a slightly later two-storey extension with two windows and two hipped dormers, and the ground floor windows have round heads. The extension has an old tiled roof. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 35 to 39 and 41.
