Description
No. 31 Quay Street is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys tall. It is constructed with purple grey headers and features red brick dressings. The roof is concealed by a red brick parapet topped with stucco coping. A stucco block cornice runs along the top, continuing the line of the string course on the adjoining row. The building has two recessed sash windows, each with stucco surrounds, projecting segmental arches, and block sills, with one console surviving on each. The ground floor features a tripartite window that shares the same surround as the upper windows and includes a keystone. The entrance is recessed and flanked by sidelights, with a door made of four fielded panels, two of which are glazed, topped by a camber-headed fanlight. Nos. 27 to 31 Quay Street form a group.
