Description

1 The Esplanade is a building dating from around 1830. It is three storeys high and constructed of painted brick. The hipped slate roof has eaves that are hidden by a parapet and features a rendered moulded cornice. On the second floor, there are two recessed sash windows with glazing bars, block sills, and flat brick arches. The first floor has bay windows consisting of three lights, also sash, with later glazing bars, plain strips, a moulded sill, and a panelled apron. A hipped slate roof has been added to these bay windows. The building also includes an early 20th-century shop front.
