Description

No. 8 The Esplanade is a building dating from around 1840. It is three storeys high and constructed of painted brick with a rendered moulded cornice. The roof is hidden by a parapet. The building features a centrally located Victorian superimposed bay window with three lights, which has sash windows with later glazing bars. There is a bracketed cornice above the second-floor bay window. The ground floor has a modern shop front. This building is part of a group that includes No. 1 and Nos. 3 to 14, which are consecutive.
