Description

Nos. 3A, 3B, and 3C on Church Street are a terraced house or houses and shops dating from the early to mid-19th century. The exterior features cobbles painted black, with dressings of painted brick and stucco, and a slate roof where visible. The building has two storeys and a five-window range. The ground floor displays a mix of 19th and 20th-century shop-front treatments.

At the east end, there is a flat-arched entrance with an overlight, flanked by pilasters and topped with a dentil cornice. The entablature extends over a flat-arched window to the right. To the left of this entrance, there is a segmental-arched entrance with an overlight and a taller segmental-arched loading bay. The west end features two flat-arched entrances and three flat-arched windows, all flanked by pilasters under a fascia. The first-floor windows are segmental-arched with brick dressings, and there are blank panels on either side of the easternmost window. The second window from the east retains sashes of original design. The building has a parapet, and the principal roof is pitched, not extending to the east end. The interior has not been inspected.
