Description
Nos. 18A, 19, and 20 Bond Street, which includes No. 5 Church Street, are terraced houses built in the early to mid-19th century. The buildings are constructed of stucco and brick, now painted, with tiled roofs where visible. They rise to three and four storeys. No. 20 features a flat-arched entrance with a doorcase that includes pilasters, an open pediment, and a fanlight. No. 18A has a shopfront inserted into a former carriage entrance, complete with pilasters, a moulded architrave, and a vermiculated keystone; the remainder of the ground floor consists of 20th-century shopfronts. All the windows are flat-arched, with the first-floor windows of No. 5 Church Street and Nos. 18A and 20 featuring sashes of original design. The window in Church Street is tripartite, while the one in Bond Street has a cornice. Nos. 19 and 20, along with No. 5 Church Street, have hipped roofs, and no roof is visible for No. 18A. The interior has not been inspected.
