Built as Swan Downer's School, later public house, now shop. 1819. The school moved to other premises in 1859. Brick, painted, roof obscured by parapet. 3 storeys, 3-window range. All windows flat-arched. C20 shop front to ground floor, the fascia retaining traces of an original inscription. First and second floor windows have heads of gauged brickwork and sashes of original design, 6 x 6 to first floor, 3 x 6 to second; right-hand first-floor window blank; parapet. INTERIOR: not inspected.
