Row of 3 shops, possibly purpose built. c1800. Brick with plain tiled roof. 3 storeys, 6-window range to St Mary's Street elevation, canted angle with Church street and 1 bay return elevation to Church Street. Inserted shop fronts, that to No.20 probably original, with central door flanked by low windows divided into small panes, and with outer doorways giving access to upper storeys and rear passage all contained beneath a single fascia. Upper windows are 12-pane sashes with flat-arched gauged brick heads, with blind window spaces in central bay. Moulded stuccoed eaves cornice forming parapet. Door in moulded architrave with console brackets to cornice in angle. Coped right hand gable and stack to left.
