Description
No. 6 St Alkmond's Place is a house, now used as an office, dating from around 1700. It is constructed of painted brick and features a plain tiled hipped roof topped with a square belvedere that also has a hipped roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a four-window range. The doorway is located to the right of centre and consists of a six-panelled door with an overlight, topped by a high segmental pediment with a bolection moulded entablature that interrupts the moulded cornice and extends into the window space above, which is a blind painted area. The windows are flush-framed 12-pane sashes. The eaves cornice is coved, and the overhanging roof includes two hipped gabled dormers situated below the belvedere.
