Description
This is a house located at 1 St Alkmond's Square, dating from around 1800. It is constructed of brick and features a hipped plain tiled roof. The building stands three storeys high and has a two-window range. The doorway is slightly off-centre and is framed by a moulded architrave with console brackets supporting the entablature. On the left side, there are 12-pane sash windows on each floor, with 6 panes on the second floor, all having flat-arched rendered heads. The right-hand windows on the ground and first floors are blind. The house has a dentilled eaves band and a large axial stack. There are also blind window spaces in the side wall facing Church Street. This property forms a single build with No. 2 Church Street.
