Description
Nos. 4, 4A, and 6 Princess Street is a terrace of three possibly purpose-built shops and dwellings, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of brick and topped with a slate roof. It is three stories high and features a five-window range. The original entrances are located on the left and in the center, with late 19th-century shop fronts situated between them and to the right. The left-hand shop front has been divided to create two small units. The paired central doors are topped with a single entablature, although they have separate moulded cases. The upper windows are 12-pane sash windows, which have been renewed in the original style, while the center window is a blind 16-pane sash. The attic storey features 9-pane sash windows. All windows have flat-arched stuccoed heads with voussoirs and stone sills. There are two truncated axial stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
