Description

The Trustee Savings Bank, built around 1840 by R. Gregson, is a single-storey bank located on Princess Street in Knutsford. The building features an ashlar exterior with a slate roof and has a three-bay facade, highlighted by a central bay that is topped with a shallow pediment. The central entrance is framed by a pedimented case adorned with incised decoration on the pilasters and paterae on the frieze. The windows on either side of the entrance are 12-pane sash windows set within shouldered architraves, each with projecting sills supported by brackets. The building also has stacks on the side walls. The interior has not been inspected.
